Arsene Wenger's defensive plan: Arsenal boss ready to loan out defender
ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger is prepared to send Calum Chambers out on loan in a bid to gain more first-team experience.
Calum Chambers is out of the picture at Arsenal
The 21-year-old arrived in 2014 for £16million and made an immediate impression, quickly making his debut for England.
But he has struggled for regular starts since then, making 58 appearances over two seasons.
His best position also seems to be in doubt with the England international capable of playing at right back, centre back and defensive midfield.
And the Telegraph say Wenger's desire to strengthen his defence mean he is ready to let Chambers temporarily go.

Chambers has no shortage of suitors with former club Southampton, Bournemouth, Swansea, Watford and Crystal Palace all reported to be interested.
Laurent Koscielny is the first choice defender at the Emirates and could even be made captain following Mikel Arteta's retirement.
But doubts over Per Mertesacker and Gabriel are leading Wenger to search for defensive reinforcement.
