Arsenal legend backs Gunners' arch rivals Tottenham for Premier League title success
ARSENAL may have finished ahead of Tottenham once again this season, but Gunners legend Paul Merson isn't backing them to repeat the feat in 2017.
Paul Merson spent 15 years at Arsenal, between 1982 and 1997
The 48-year-old pundit, who began his career at Highbury and spent 15 years with the north London outfit, is tipping Tottenham to win the Premier League next season.
The Gunners went into the final day knowing they had to win and hope Spurs lost in order to secure second place behind champions Leicester.
"They need a centre forward in case Harry Kane gets injured but they have got their team - everybody else needs four or five."
So, despite making 289 league appearances for the Gunners, Merson doesn't seem to have let old loyalties sway his thoughts on next season's title race.
