Manchester United to challenge Chelsea for £30m target on this one condition
LOUIS VAN GAAL will launch a bid for Miralem Pjanic this summer if he remains Manchester United manager, according to reports.
Pjanic could have his pick of Manchester United, Chelsea or Juventus this summer
Van Gaal's future is currently unclear with United fifth in the Premier League table and set to miss out on Champions League football next season.
Express Sport understands Jose Mourinho is confident of being named the Dutchman's successor this summer if they do indeed miss out on a top-four finish.
However, the club did reportedly offer Mourinho a contract that would have seen him take over at Old Trafford in 2017 when Van Gaal's deal expires.
The Bosnian international has a reported minimum fee release clause of £30m and both clubs are said to be ready to meet that figure.
But Italian champions Juventus have also been linked with a move and would be able to offer the Champions League football that the other two may not.
