CHELSEA are reportedly eyeing a move for Southampton striker Graziano Pelle.
Graziano Pelle has emerged as a Chelsea target
The 30-year-old has fallen out of favour at St Mary’s.
Antonio Conte is thought to be lining up a list of striking targets, and they have been linked to Atletico Madrid ace Antoine Griezmann.
Pelle was dropped from Saints' 4-2 defeat against Manchester City last weekend.
And according to the Sun on Sunday, Conte has designs on trying to bring Pelle to Stamford Bridge.
It is thought he will hold emergency talks with Saints boss Ronald Koeman in the coming weeks.
Pelle recently admitted Conte will be a success at Chelsea when he said: “The coach has the qualities to do well in any tournament.
“If he does choose to come to the Premier League then he’ll be very welcome.
"It’s a tough league, but I am convinced Conte will do well.
Antonio Conte - 5 things you need to know
“I advise him to be himself, as he is a winner and changing culture or league won’t modify his attitude. He just needs to change his language! So I advise him to study English.
"The English press is really hard when it comes to gossip, but on that score I don’t think the coach has anything to worry about.
"When it comes to talking about football, I think Italian media might be tougher, but it’s only to be expected in the sport."
Pelle has just a year left to run on his contract.
