ARSENAL are reportedly closing in on the capture of Granit Xhaka and could make it a midfield double swoop this summer by pushing for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Gunners are thought to have been in conversation with Borussia Monchengladbach for some time over Xhaka's availability.
Arsenal would prefer to have the deal done before Euro 2016, when the Switzerland's price tag could rise if he has a good tournament.
And the Daily Mirror claim Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will not stop there in his pursuit to overhaul the midfield.

Arsenal have also been linked with Brazilian midfielder Walace in recent weeks, with his agent claiming he wants to secure a "dream" move to Europe.
But their pursuit of Lille winger Sofiane Boufal could be over after it was revealed the £18m-rated star will need surgery on a knee injury picked up last weekend.
