Leeds United come to secret agreement: £5.6m court case avoided
LEEDS UNITED have reportedly come to an out-of-court agreement with former kit suppliers Macron SPA.
Leeds United's kits are now produced by Kappa
The West Yorkshire club were being sued for damages after ending their shirt deal with the Italian manufacturer early.
Macron became Leeds' kit provider in 2011 in a six-year agreement - the longest in English club history.
But Leeds severed the terms in 2014 and their kits are now produced by another Italian brand, Kappa.
Bologna-based Macron sued the club, insisting Leeds had no right to terminate the contract without paying up.
The Yorkshire Evening Post report Macron claimed £2.1million which it said was owed them under the contract, while requesting up to £3.5m in damages.

Leeds contested the claim and were preparing to take their case to London's High Court this week.
But the YEP add that a settlement was reached before proceedings went into the courtroom.
It led to a ten-second hearing this morning when Mr Justice Hickinbottom was told that the two sides had agreed to settle their differences and would keep the final fee confidential.
