Tottenham ace Hugo Lloris: This is what I think about joining Man Utd or returning to Lyon
HUGO LLORIS insists he is ‘very happy’ at Tottenham after dismissing rumours surrounding a return to former club Lyon.
Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris has been attracting interest from a host of top European clubs
The 29-year-old ended his five-year affiliation with the Ligue 1 club in 2012 by joining Spurs for £10million, and has since gone onto establish himself as the No 1 goalkeeper at White Hart Lane.
Lloris’ impressive displays for Tottenham, which have seen him concede just 23 Premier League goals this season, has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs including Manchester United.
French newspaper L’Equipe reported in the summer that members of the United board were keen on bringing the keeper to Old Trafford should David de Gea have joined Real Madrid.
After swiftly sweeping rumours of a departure under the carpet, Lloris opened up about Spurs’ Premier League run-in as they bid to bridge the five-point gap on leaders Leicester and win their first title since 1961.
He said: "We have very important games to play until the end of the season, so we're focused on that."
Lloris signed a five-year contract extension at Spurs in 2014.
