Tottenham open talks with Harry Kane over £100,000-a-week deal as Man Utd eye £60m swoop
TOTTENHAM have reportedly opened fresh talks with Harry Kane over a new contract as Manchester United eye a summer bid for the striker.
Harry Kane only signed a new Spurs contract last year but is set for a bumper pay rise
Reports emerged last week that Jose Mourinho would target Kane, 22, if the Portuguese becomes United manager this summer.
Mourinho, 53, is expected to replace Dutchman Louis van Gaal at the end of the season.
The Independent claimed Spurs will not sell Kane for anything less than £60million.
And he could land upwards of £100,000 a week, which over a five-year deal would see the England international rake in £26million.
United, with six players on £100,000-a-week or more, would likely offer Kane a much higher salary than what he can land at Spurs.
However, the White Hart Lane club are currently in a Premier League title race and look set to qualify for the Champions League next season, while United are battling with West Ham and Manchester City for fourth place.
