Arsenal rocked as Bayern Munich prepare to launch bid for striker
BAYERN MUNICH will send scouts to watch Carlos Bacca after the international break, according to reports.
Bacca is the joint-second highest goalscorer in Serie A this season
Bacca has scored 14 goals in 30 appearances for AC Milan in Serie A this season where only Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain has managed more (29).
Beyond Olivier Giroud, Arsenal are struggling for proven goalscorers up front and Bacca is said to be seen as the perfect man to add that pedigree to the Gunners’ roster.
Even so, the offer of top-level European competition may be too much of a lure and Bayern will watch Bacca carefully next month to decide whether to make a move for him.
And with both Bayern and Arsenal interested, Milan can expect to drive the price well beyond the £21.5m they paid for him.
