Man City to wrap up defender deal before Chelsea get the chance this summer
MANCHESTER CITY could have Leonardo Bonucci's transfer wrapped up before Chelsea can even make an offer this summer, according to reports.
Leonardo Bonucci could leave Juventus at the end of the season
Both Premier League clubs have been linked with a swoop for Italian Bonucci before the start of next season.
Incoming City manager Pep Guardiola is said to have earmarked the Juventus star as a primary transfer target.
Guardiola will join City on 1 July and could immediately push to sign the player, while Conte could still be on Euro 2016 duty as head coach of Italy.
Italian outlet Sport Mediaset claim Conte will join up with Chelsea four days after the Euros are concluded on July 10.
And that supposedly gives Guardiola a head start in his squad preparations in Manchester.
