Man Utd plunged into fresh crisis as Wayne Rooney hands Louis van Gaal injury blow
MANCHESTER UNITED are facing a fresh crisis, with Wayne Rooney reportedly suffering a setback in his recovery from injury.
Wayne Rooney might not play again for Manchester United this season
The 30-year-old has been sidelined with a knee problem he sustained in the 2-1 defeat to Sunderland last month.
Recent reports had suggested Rooney was on course to return to face his old club Everton next month.
But according to the Daily Mirror, Rooney’s comeback has been put on hold.
The report suggests Rooney’s right knee hasn’t healed as quickly as hoped and he could be out for another month.
It is unclear as to whether or not Rooney’s injury will affect his participation at Euro 2016 with England.
