Southampton's Fraser Forster named Player of the Month after clean sheets record
FRASER FORSTER has been named the Premier League's Player of the Month after breaking Southampton's clean sheet record in February.
Goalkeeper Fraser Forster did not concede a goal for Saints for 708 minutes
The goalkeeper, 27, set a new Saints record of 708 minutes - or just shy of 12 hours - without conceding in the Premier League.
Paul Jones held the club's previous top-flight record when he went 666 minutes without conceding back in 2001.
Forster had only just returned from a long-term injury back in January and went six games without conceding to kick off his late start to the campaign.
Clean sheets against Arsenal, West Ham and Swansea in February saw Saints claim seven points from a possible nine before they went down 2-1 to Chelsea at the end of the month.
