Tottenham sweat over losing midfielder to European rivals as contract talks stall
TOTTENHAM risk losing teenage midfielder Marcus Edwards to a major European club for nothing next year unless they tie him down to a contract, according to reports.
Marcus Edwards has reportedly been offered a professional contract at Spurs
Edwards, 17, is said to be one of the brightest talents on the Spurs academy's books.
The attacking midfielder is currently on a scholarship deal at the White Hart Lane club.
It is understood European sides have been particularly impressed by his displays for the England U17s team.
His scholarship deal with Spurs will expire in the summer of 2017.
