Alexis Sanchez sends this warning to Man United following Arsenal's defeat to Barcelona
ALEXIS SANCHEZ has vowed to make Manchester United pay for the Champions League beating he and his Arsenal teammates took from Barcelona.
Sanchez and his Arsenal team-mates struggled against Barcelona during the week
The Chilean, little more than a peripheral figure against his former club during the week, said the Gunners want to repay Arsenal fans for sticking by them despite their disappointment.
Sanchez, who joined Arsenal from Barcelona two years ago in a £35million deal, said: "Tuesday was a difficult game, but the support was great.
"Arsenal is now my family and I am very happy here. Now the focus is on the Premier League and trying to win that's important for me, the team, for everyone."
Meanwhile, Wenger sought to quell suggestions that Arsenal tend to fade in March and April.
"If you look over 20 years we have always finished stronger in the second part of the season," he added.
"We have lost the championship once or twice, but you could say that about Manchester United as well. In fact, any team. We faded in 2010, but overall we usually finish strongly in the second part of the season."
