Pogba, 22, is one of a number of players City are reportedly looking at buying this summer.
The two-time Premier League champions already have Pep Guardiola in place to take over from manager Manuel Pellegrini in the summer.
Guardiola is a known admirer of Pogba and City are reportedly considering a swoop for the Juventus ace, who could cost £70million.
"Now he’s a Juventus player, he’s very strong and very young,” Guardiola told Premium Sport
"He’s shown his value, but I know he’s happy at Juve and I wish him a long career.
“Would I like to coach him? It doesn’t depend on me, but on the club.”
