When asked during an Arsenal Q&A on Twitter how the squad congratulated him, Welbeck replied: "Everyone was pleased for me and they sang a song when I came into the changing room!"
The 25-year-old also revealed he idolised Ryan Giggs, Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho growing up.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also answered some questions from fans, admitting he was glad to see his team-mate get back amongst the goals against Leicester.
When asked what it was like to see Welbeck score, he said: "Unbelievable! Danny is my mate and he deserved it. I nearly ran on the pitch!"

And when asked who was funnier him or Welbeck, Oxlade-Chamberlain well and truly sat on the bench, saying: "That's a tough one. I find him really funny but it's a different type of banter."
