West Ham star to aid £25m deal from under Tottenham's noses
WEST HAM reportedly believe they can beat Tottenham to the signing of Michy Batshuayi this summer by highlighting Dimitri Payet's rise to stardom.
Michy Batshuayi boasts 15 goals for the season
The Hammers are understood to be considering a swoop for Belgium international Batshuayi.
Tottenham are also said to have been tracking the striker, who has scored 15 goals for Marseille this season, since last summer.
It was claimed earlier this month that Spurs were in 'advanced talks' to sign the forward, although little appears to have come of those discussions.
His wages have already been increased to a reported £125,000 a week as reward for swiftly becoming the Hammers' go-to man in attack and midfield.
It is claimed his friendship with Batshuayi will be a driving factor in the latter's decision when choosing a Premier League club.
Batshuayi is expected to cost either West Ham or Spurs around £25million and will likely be in the Belgium squad for Euro 2016 this summer.
