Juventus chief speaks out over 'gentleman's agreement' with Chelsea
JUVENTUS remain hopeful of securing Chelsea's Juan Cuadrado on a permanent signing at the end of the season.
Juan Cuadrado has made 28 appearances for Juventus this season
Cuadrado, 27, moved on loan to the Serie A leaders at the start of the current campaign.
He has played 28 games for Juve this season, having started just four times in a Chelsea shirt during his brief stint at the club.
A permanent switch in January was reportedly discussed between the two clubs.
There’s a gentleman’s agreement with Chelsea
But no deal emerged, leaving Juve to sweat over concerns the Colombia international will head back to Chelsea this summer.
However, Juve sporting director Beppe Marotta says talks are continuing over a fixed transfer.
“We took a chance, taking a player on loan,” Marotta said.

“We’re considering (a permanent transfer), there’s a gentleman’s agreement with Chelsea.
"He’s a player who brings something different to (manager Massimiliano) Allegri’s team.”
Cuadrado joined Chelsea from Fiorentina in a £26.8million move in February 2015.
But the midfielder failed to bed into the Blues team and left in the summer without a goal to his name.
It is claimed he is available for £15.5m this summer, although Juve hope to slash £4m off that price.
