Revealed: Real Madrid offered David De Gea £54.6m to sign from Manchester United
DAVID DE GEA’S botched move to Real Madrid last summer was set to be worth more than £50million, according to reports.
De Gea almost spent this season playing at the Bernabeu
The Spanish club have made no secret of their efforts to sign the goalkeeper as a long-term replacement for Iker Casillas.
And while United were and still are desperate to hang on to their star stopper, the deal to take him to La Liga was allegedly all but done in the summer.
Football Leaks have published a contract, dated August 31 2015, which would have seen De Gea paid a staggering £54.6m over the six years.
"I'm not sure who the best is now, but it's what I want.
“Also, to win trophies for Manchester United."
