Watford star slams Diego Costa after spat in Chelsea clash
TROY DEENEY claims Diego Costa would be laughed off the pitch if he acted up in the amateur game.
Deeney believes Costa overreacted to the contact he received
The striker clashed with Juan Carlos Paredes in first-half stoppage time as Chelsea drew 0-0 with Watford at Vicarage Road.
Both players were shown a yellow card by Mike Dean although Costa appeared to complain to the referee in the tunnel about what happened.
But Deeney believes the Spanish striker was over-reacting to normal contact during the game.
Costa's manager Guus Hiddink also admitted that his player must learn that he will get as good as he gives in the Premier League.
"This league is physical, when you see our central defenders and our opponents' central defenders," Hiddink said.
"He [Costa] likes to go physical but he must do within the rules.
"Some times players get physical and he has to get used to that."
