CLAUDIO RANIERI has opened up on Leicester signing Daniel Amartey, but admits he's not ready to face Liverpool tomorrow (19:45pm).
Claudio Ranieri says Daniel Amartey is not ready to face Liverpool
The Ghana international signed for Leicester earlier in the window on a four-and-a-half year deal, costing the Foxes a reported £6million from Copenhagen.
But Ranieri admits the 21-year-old is not ready for the visit of Liverpool, when they'll be looking to defend their three-point lead at the top of the table.
However, Amartey, who can play in midfield and defence, could be in contention to face title contenders Manchester City at the weekend.
The Italian said in his pre-match press conference: “Daniel Amartey is not ready for tomorrow but I think he could be ready for Man City."

Ranieri added: “His position is centre midfield, but I’ve seen him play in defence, right back and on the flank.”
Leicester are keen to sign a new striker before the transfer window closes tonight, with CSKA Moscow's Ahmed Musa, Chelsea's Loic Remy and Crystal Palace's Dwight Gayle on their wish list.
