Loic Remy - Spotlight On
Newcastle have enquired into the availability of Chelsea striker Loic Remy after failing in their negotiations with West Brom over Saido Berahino.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim the Blues have told Newcastle to pay at least £12million to re-sign the France international this month.
Remy, who is reportedly looking to leave Chelsea for regular football ahead of Euro 16, spent the 2013/14 season at St James' Park on loan, scoring 14 goals in 26 outings.
Meanwhile, Express Sport understands that Chelsea are prepared to make a move for former Arsenal and Manchester Untied striker Robin van Persie.
But the Premier League champions will only table an offer for the Dutchman if they fail to complete a loan move for Corinthians forward Alexandre Pato by tomorrow.
Van Persie left United last summer for Fenerbahce, but the 32-year-old is thought to be unsettled in Turkey despite his return of 12 goals this term.

And finally, The Sun claim Chelsea 'amazingly snubbed' the opportunity to sign England international Dele Alli before his move to Tottenham.
The Blues sent scouts to watch the midfielder when he was playing for MK Dons in League One, but the word back that he was not as good as academy product Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The 19-year-old instead completed a move to Spurs for £5m and has impressed with six goals and four assists to his name so far this season.
