“It’s something that the manager and the club have to decide.
“Obviously, it is better for us if we can get more players to come in with us.
“It’s better to improve the quality of the team and the squad, but it’s not something we have to worry about as players. It is for other people to decide.”
New signings Jonjo Shelvey and Henri Saivet started in the centre of midfield for Newcastle at Vicarage Road on Saturday - the duo costing around £17million this winter.
Newcastle are believed to have given up on trying to sign Tottenham winger Andros Townsend, whose £14m asking price is deemed too costly.
The club remain suitors of Saido Berahino and are reportedly battling Spurs and Chelsea to land the West Brom striker, who is keen to leave the Hawthorns.
