Confirmed: Chelsea wrap up January deal for international star
CHELSEA defender Papy Djilobodji has completed a loan move to Werder Bremen.
Papy Djilobodji has left Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season
Djilobodji joined the Premier League champions in the summer but failed to impress former boss Jose Mourinho as well as interim manager Guus Hiddink.
The Senegal international cost the Blues a reported £2.7million from Ligue 1 outfit Nantes, but has managed just one minute of first-team football this term.
And now the centre-half has joined Bremen until the end of the season as the replacement of Assani Lukimya-Mulongoti, who left to join Chinese club Liaoning Whowin on Monday.
The Bundesliga club revealed on their official Twitter account: "#Werder have signed Papy #Djilobodji on loan until the end of the season! Welcome to Bremen, Papy!"

Werder Bremen moved quickly to replace Assani Lukimya-Mulongoti
The 27-year-old will be available for Sunday's trip to Schalke, and Bremen sporting director Thomas Eichin is thrilled to have secured his services after quick negotiations.
"We're very happy to have found a replacement for Assani Lukimya so soon after his departure," Eichin said of Djilobodji's arrival.
