Quique Flores insists Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo leaving Watford is impossible
QUIQUE FLORES says it is "completely impossible" to tempt Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo away from Watford.
Deeney and Igahlo have attracted interest from the Premier League and Europe with their run of form
Deeney and Ighalo have scored 20 of Watford's 25 goals this season to attract attention but the manager dismissed suggestions his prolific strike pair will be sold in January.
Deeney has been touted for a £20million move to Arsenal while Ighalo, English football's most prolific frontman in 2015, is not short of admires from home or abroad.
Keeping hold of Deeney and Ighalo will be a different story come next summer. But Flores says skipper Deeney's immediate target should be an England call up rather than a big-money move.
"Deeney won't abandon the project right in the middle of the season," he added. "After this season anything is possible. "Maybe the next step for Deeney is not thinking about going to another team as the next step should be the national team.
"He is playing well, is scoring and is a reference for English football, so why not? Nothing surprises me with Deeney any more."
