Liverpool News: £32m Man City bid, Klopp talks January plans, Sturridge to face West Ham
EXPRESS SPORT brings you all the latest news coming from Anfield.
Manchester City join Liverpool in Leroy Sane chase
Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Schalke winger Leroy Sane as Manchester City enter the £32million race for his services.
That is according to The Guardian, who claim City have made the 19-year-old their top transfer target going into the January window.
Meanwhile, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed he is not in the market for a new goalkeeper, insisting he is happy with current first choice Simon Mignolet.
“Other people in the club will announce things like this," the German boss said. "I've not got anything on this at the moment if nobody has said anything.
“I'm really satisfied with Simon. I can only say this and some of you the next day will write about 500 goalkeepers across the world who we're supposed to be interested in.”
Jurgen Klopp says he is not looking to replace Simon Mignolet in January
Daniel Sturridge could return to first team action against West Ham
And finally, Klopp has suggested crocked striker Daniel Sturridge, whose last outing came on December 6 against Newcastle, could return against West Ham.
The German said ahead of tomorrow's trip to Upton Park: "Maybe Daniel (Sturridge) can come back on Saturday."
