How to play
The game doesn’t simply rely on victories: it relies on goals, so rewards underdogs, minnows, giant-killers, and goal rushes – the things that make the FA Cup so great.
Goals translate to points. For each fixture in each of the rounds (excluding any replays) our experts assign a points rating for each club’s goals against their opponents, with smaller clubs earning more points per goal than the bigger clubs.
You have to make a choice – which of the two teams are you going to select to rack up the most points?
For example if a Premier League team is up against a Championship team. As the favourites, the Premier League team will be awarded fewer points for a goal than the underdog Championship team.
In the first round of the game – the 3rd Round of the FA Cup - there are 32 fixtures. You have to choose 10 and pick a team within that fixture that you think will earn you the most points.
