Sunderland star hits out at Sam Allardyce and reveals he is looking at January exit
JEREMAIN LENS admits he could look to leave Sunderland in January after failing to force his way into Sam Allardyce's plans.
Jeremain Lens open to Sunderland exit in January
The Dutch international was left out of the match-day squad for Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Chelsea for "disciplinary" reasons.
But the 28-year-old has not started for the Black Cats since the 3-0 derby victory over Newcastle in October with Allardyce concerned about his work-rate.
Lens told Fox Sports: "It's definitely annoying. I am not playing and I did not come to the Premier League to sit on the bench.
"Something will have to change anything. A transfer in the winter? That could happen. Once the window is open, we will see what will happen."
