Jordan Henderson addresses disallowed West Brom goal and Liverpool disappointment
JORDAN HENDERSON says referee Craig Pawson made the correct decision in ruling out a West Brom goal during Liverpool's 2-2 draw at Anfield.
Jordan Henderson (centre) scored the opener in Liverpool's 2-2 draw at Anfield
The Baggies thought they had scored late in the first half when Jonas Olsson was flagged offside.
The goal would have put the Baggies 2-1 up after Craig Dawson had cancelled out Henderson's 21st-minute opener.
They did go ahead though Olsson with 17 minutes remaining but a Divock Origi deflected goal in stoppage time secured a point for Liverpool.
"I think we're disappointed not to have won the game," he added.
"I thought we created some good chances. We knew West Brom would sit in.
"We're frustrated but at the same time we were chasing the game and it's great to see Divock come on and get the goal.
"After the equaliser I thought we had the momentum to get another goal, I thought we'd sneak another. We kept going but it wasn't to be."
