That is according to The Guardian, who claim the Spaniard is likely to be sidelined for at least three months due to ligament damage.
Cazorla, who has played 20 games for the Gunners this season, picked up the injury during the 1-1 draw with Norwich at the weekend.
The 30-year-old went down in the first minute of the second half at Carrow Road after a challenge with Gary O’Neil, but played out the entire game.
Cazorla was struggling towards the end of the match but was forced to stay on the pitch as Arsene Wenger used his three substitutions.

His injury comes at a horrible time for Arsenal, who already have Mikel Arteta, Francis Coquelin, Tomas Rosicky, Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere out of action.
Alexis Sanchez and Laurent Koscielny also suffered knocks against the Canaries, but Wenger will be boosted by the returns of Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs for Saturday's visit of Sunderland.
