Manchester City made £28.1m bid for Juventus star just hours after full time in Turin
MANCHESTER CITY made a £28.1million offer for Juventus defender Alex Sandro just hours after facing the ace in the Champions League.
Manchester City reportedly offered to sign Alex Sandro (right) after losing to Juventus
That is according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim Juve officials received a bid shortly after the club's 1-0 win over City on Wednesday.
Left-back Sandro, 24, played 78 minutes of the clash in Turin as Juve progressed to the knockout stage.
The Italian champions currently sit sixth in the table, having dominated the league for the previous four years.
City's reported move is not surprising as manager Manuel Pellegrini seeks to bolster his defence this winter.
The club have conceded 13 league goals this season - an average one per game - compared to Manchester United (9), Arsenal and Tottenham (both 11).
