Jesse Lingard: I knew I'd make it at Man Utd thanks to Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley
JESSE LINGARD admits he was always confident he would make it at Manchester United following the rise of Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley.
Lingard, who was called into the England squad ahead of the France friendly this month, is the latest academy product to graduate to United's first-team squad.
And the 22-year-old says watching fellow youngsters break into the senior side, as well as the support from the Old Trafford faithful, helped him get to where he is.
