Jurgen Klopp handed huge injury boost for Man City clash as Liverpool star talks up return
LIVERPOOL midfielder James Milner has set his sights on returning to action in time to face former club Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp handed injury boost ahead of Manchester City clash
Milner was forced to withdraw from the England squad for the upcoming double-header against Spain and France with a hamstring injury.
The 29-year-old missed out on Liverpool's 2-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday, their first loss under manager Jurgen Klopp.
But Milner - who picked up the injury in the Reds' Europa League win over Rubin Kazan last week - says he's on course to return for the trip to the Etihad after the international break.
The experienced midfielder arrived at Anfield in the summer on a free after seeing out his contract at City, where he spent five successful years.

"It's always disappointing to miss any games," Milner told the club's website. "It shouldn't be too long and hopefully I'll be back for the next game.
"You never like to put a time frame on it because it's a hamstring and they're always difficult and a bit unpredictable, but hopefully I'll be alright."
