Real Madrid to sell Man Utd and Arsenal targets and buy Chelsea winger in shock overhaul
FLORENTINO PEREZ is planning a massive overhaul of Real Madrid which will see two of the clubs biggest players sold.
Cristiano Ronaldo - Spotlight On
According to Spanish website Sportyou, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema could both be victims of the Madrid president's axe, as he bids to reshape the entire look of the team, irrespective of trophies won this season.
Benzema is currently embroiled in a blackmail scandal and although the club have publically stated their support for the Frenchman, a negative outcome from the legal case would make Madrid even more keen to sell.
Ronaldo, who has just released a documentary about his life, will also be sold, and he has hinted a number of times already that a return to Manchester United would be something he would consider.
However, the pricetag for a man who is now considered perhaps the greatest footballer of all time is likely to be astronomical, however keen Perez is to move him on.
With two massive transfers out, Perez is lining up three to replace them: Robert Lewandowski, Eden Hazard, and David de Gea, whose failed contract negotiations with Madrid this summer are still a subject of great frustration for Real.
Hazard meanwhile is clearly unhappy at struggling Chelsea, where he has been dropped several times by ex-Galacticos boss Jose Mourinho.
The other player charged with replacing Benzema and Ronaldo is Lewandowski, Europe's form man, although tempting him away from Bayern Munich may be a significantly tougher test.
