LEICESTER striker Jamie Vardy has been named the Premier League's Player of the Month for October.

The England international bagged five goals in four matches for the Foxes last month as he continued his scoring streak that stands at nine successive top-flight outings.
Vardy, 28 saw off competition from Arsenal pair Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud, Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, Watford striker Odion Ighalo and Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland.
"When the gaffer came in he said that he wanted everyone to improve, so I had to improve on what I did last year and I have already doubled my tally from last year.
"I don't set myself any targets, I just want to keep on improving as much as possible. It's been a brilliant start for myself as well as the team."
