Arsene Wenger confirms Arsenal will miss out on German wonderkid
ARSENE WENGER has confirmed Arsenal cannot recall West Brom loanee Serge Gnabry to ease their injury woes.
Swansea v Arsenal - Premier League preview
The Gunners were without a host of players due to long-term injuries, including Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Danny Welbeck.
And a double injury blow to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott in the Capital One Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday has put the squad under pressure.
Serge Gnabry cannot be recalled by Arsenal
Wenger had hoped to be able to recall Gnabry from the Baggies ahead of Saturday's clash with Swansea (3.00pm), but is not able to.
"He is on loan for a season and we can not get him back before the transfer period. Loans between Premier League clubs are for one season," he explained.
"I heard Tony Pulis is not happy with him, but he has to to change that opinion.
"I think Serge Gnabry has the quality to play in the Premier League. It is good he faces this battle as it will make him stronger.
"If he turns the opinion of Tony Pulis round. I hope he is facing the challenge and putting the effort in."
