Twitter erupts as Arsenal suffer double injury blow in first half against Sheff Wednesday
THEO WALCOTT and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were both forced off with injuries as Arsenal suffered a nightmare first half against Sheffield Wednesday.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain pulled up with a hamstring injury
After just five minutes Oxlade-Chamberlain went down after a sprint and was replaced by Walcott.
Sky Sports reported that the winger had a tight hamstring.
Theo Walcott receives treatment after sustaining an injury
Fifteen minutes later, Walcott began clutching his calf and was unable to continue.
It meant 17-year-old midfielder Ismael Bennacer came on for his debut.

To compound matters, Wednesday took the lead when Daniel Pudil raced down the left and cut the ball back to the edge of the area towards Ross Wallace who curled a first-time strike past Petr Cech.
