Manchester United send scouts on second mission to assess £12m Tottenham target
MANCHESTER UNITED sent scouts on a second mission to sound out Bruno Martins Indi last weekend, according to reports.
Van Gaal on United's lack of luck this season
United are known to be keen on centre-back Martins Indi, who can also play on the left side of defence.
Scouts had already reportedly watched the player during Porto's 2-1 Champions League victory over Chelsea this month, with Tottenham also said to be interested.
Luke Shaw suffered a leg break early in the season and manager Louis van Gaal is understood to be keen on bringing in a left-sided player.
Martins-Indi, 23, has made just five appearances for Porto this season and is expected to cost United £12million.

The Netherlands international, who played a key role in his country's 2014 World Cup campaign under Van Gaal, made 39 appearances for club and country last season.
He started his career at Feyenoord before being sold to Porto in a £6.1m deal after the World Cup.
