Mixed reaction to Sherwood sacking as Aston Villa fans demand Moyes
ASTON VILLA fans offer a mixed reaction to Tim Sherwood’s sacking on Twitter - although most appeared to accept his time had come.
Tim Sherwood was today sacked as Aston Villa manager
Sherwood was given the boot today after failing to drag Villa out on an early-season relegation scrap.
The club sit 19th in the Premier League following their 2-1 loss to Swansea yesterday.
Yet not all fans were jubilant on hearing the news of Sherwood’s departure, with many thanking the boss for keeping them up last season and hauling Villa into the FA Cup final.
Sad to see Sherwood go but hey we need to get serious

Sherwood Out??????? What now for the club! It's ridiculous! #AVFC #UTV #VTID

Gutted I liked Sherwood, but he had to go some of his tactics and player selections were awful. Will be happy if we get Moyes #UTV #AVFC

Not sure why some people are surprised about Sherwood getting sacked by Villa. He is a terrible manager and they are doing awful.

So, #Sherwood saves poor team from drop, reaches FA cup final, sells best 2 players, gets sacked after struggling. This is Netflix football

Villa have just sacked Sherwood, absolutely ridiculous!

Sad to See another manager sacked surely Tim Sherwood should have been given more time just shows how fickle football is these days.

Attention now turns to who will replace Sherwood, with David Moyes seemingly the bookies’ and the fans’ favourite, although Brendan Rodgers is also in the running.
Will always like Tim Sherwood he will be a good manager one day, would have stuck it out with him. Shame, but David Moyes please.

Thanks to Sherwood for keeping us up last season! He will do a great job at a well run club. Moyes or Brendan Rodgers for me now though ??

So Sherwood is sacked and we might get Brendan Rogers? Don't know how to feel about that. Would be far happier with Moyes. #AVFC

Just lumped all my Sherwood getting sacked winnings on Moyes as the next permanent manager. Not great odds but lovely making ££ from Villa.
