NICOLAS GAITAN’S transfer saga could be coming to an end after reports he is about to sign a new deal with Benfica.

Instead United opted to sign Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial in the last transfer window for huge fees.
Gaitan only signed a new contract, taking him to June 2018, last November but according to Portuguese daily A Bola there was no increase in wages.
The deal was agreed to reduce his buy out clause to around £25million.

The report claims manager Rui Vitoria is desperate to keep and reward the player after staying focused on Benfica.
And the 27-year-old’s agent Jose Iribarren is due in Lisbon next week to finalise a deal with Benfica officials.
