The Bayern Munich goalkeeper rushed out to try and meet a cross in the 77th minute, but flapped and missed the ball as Olivier Giroud planted his header into the net.
The 29-year-old made a series of excellent saves during the Champions League group encounter, but was unable to prevent the Bundesliga champions slipping to a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates this evening.
And he has admitted he did make a big blunder.
"Basically, I played well," Neuer told BT Sport.

"But it was my big mistake that led to Arsenal’s first goal.
"I think, a draw would have been a more appropriate result."
