Arsenal star backs former club to avoid relegation from the Premier League
ARSENAL ace Hector Bellerin has backed his former club Watford to beat the drop.
Hector Bellerin has become Arsenal's first choice right-back this season
Bellerin spent nearly three months on loan with the Hornets two seasons ago, starting six Championship games for the club.
The Spanish youngster has become Arsene Wenger's preferred choice at right-back for Arsenal this season, keeping Mathieu Debuchy out of the side.
But despite his breakthrough at Arsenal the 20-year-old admits he still keeps in contact with several of Watford's squad.
Bellerin in action for Watford against QPR in the Championship
Watford currently sit 12th in the table and Bellerin is relishing the chance to return to Vicarage Road on Saturday evening (5.30pm).
He told The London Evening Standard: “I’m looking forward to that. I actually met up with a few of my old Watford team-mates recently.
"I had a good two months there and still see a lot of them. I’m in touch with Troy [Deeney] and a few of the others.
“It will be very nice to be back at the Vic. I think they can stay up in the league, they have the right team for it. They are a tough team to play against, they are a young team who like to play with the ball so I’m happy they have started well.”
