PATRICE EVRA claims he was 'impressed' with Anthony Martial after the Manchester United striker made his first international start for France.

Martial, who joined the Red Devils in a £36million deal in the summer from Monaco, played 88 minutes of Les Bleus' 2-1 Euro 2016 qualifier against Denmark on Sunday night.
France have already secured their spot at next summer's tournament as hosts.
Martial was replaced by Crystal Palace star Yohan Cabaye, but Evra, who attained legendary status during his spell at Old Trafford, thinks Martial caught the eye with his flair on the ball.
"It’s the first time I’ve seen him in a match,” Evra said as quoted by Goal.

“He was impressive. I told him at the end of the game: ‘I hope that you hydrate well and stretch well. Keep accelerating like that.’
“Every time he touched the ball, he drove and he created something.”
