Exclusive: Jimmy Bullard gives advice to injury stricken Man Utd star Luke Shaw
JIMMY BULLARD believes Luke Shaw needs to have a positive mental attitude in his bid to return from injury.
Shaw sustained a double leg break when United lost their opening Champions League group game away to PSV Eindhoven last month.
The left-back is expected to be out for the rest of the season.
His chances of making Euro 2016 with England are also hanging in the balance.
Luke Shaw could miss the rest of the season for Manchester Unitedq
But Bullard, who was speaking on behalf of Ladbrokes Rugby’s ‘Who’s Got The Balls’ campaign insists Shaw will emerge a stronger character.
"He'll be fine, it's different with bone rather than ligament injuries," Bullard told Express Sport.
"They won't rush him back United as they will want to restore his confidence.

"The tackling part of training will come right at the end.
"He needs to get in the right frame, but he knows he will come back.
"My advice would be don't rush it; take your time and come back properly and do your rehab. He will come back fitter than ever.
"You need to use the negative comments to your strength. When I was injured, I used the negative comments in a positive way and I was a stronger person after that."
