RYAN BABEL has jumped to the defence of Steven Gerrard after El Hadji Diouf claimed he doesn't like black people.

Gerrard's former team-mate said he didn't think he was a racist after a supporter posed the question on Twitter.
Diouf was quoted as saying Gerrard "never liked black people" and said the former Liverpool captain would only welcome black players to the club if they were English.
Gerrard has since refuted the claims and Babel appears to agree that Diouf is wide of the mark.
"What do you make of Diouf's claims Stevey Gerrard didn't like black players that weren't English," asked a Liverpool supporter on Twitter.
Babel Replied: "I did not get that feeling from Stevie G so I think he got it wrong."

The allegations came after Gerrard slammed Diouf in his new book.
"My Story" is currently being serialised in The Daily Mail and has caused quite a stir in the football world.
Gerrard also criticised Mario Balotelli and revealed he had no relationship with former manager Rafa Benitez.
He has been vocal in the media as well, revealing his feeling of dejection after Liverpool's 3-1 loss to Manchester United last Saturday.
