MANCHESTER UNITED would cause riots on the streets of Munich if they sign Thomas Muller.

That is according to German football expert Raf Honigstein.
United are thought to be willing to pay up to £70million to sign the World Cup winner.
Though the 25-year-old has been continually talked up with a move to Old Trafford, Honingstein thinks it is very unlikely Muller will leave the Allianz Arena.

"I don’t think there’s any realistic chance Bayern Munich will let Thomas Muller leave,” he told talkSPORT.
“There’s even a suggestion that the latest bid from Manchester United was leaked by Bayern, just to say, ‘we are Bayern, the bids are coming in and we are saying no regardless’.

“If there was something serious going on they would be very careful to keep it quiet because politically it’s dynamite.
"If they let Muller go, there would be riots in the streets of Munich.”
