Manchester United discuss shock transfer with MLS side Seattle Sounders
VICTOR VALDES is reportedly in talks to join MLS side Seattle Sounders.
Victor Valdes is free to leave Manchester United
The Manchester United goalkeeper has been told he can leave the club before the start of the new season.
United began their tour of the United States in Seattle this summer and have now moved on to California.
But Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reportedly claim Valdes has discussed the possibility of switching the Premier League for the MLS.
They report that officials from the two clubs discussed a potential transfer during United's tour.
The Red Devils are reportedly close to landing Valdes' replacement - free agent Sergio Romero - and are expected to lose David De Gea to Real Madrid this summer.
United faced Mexican side Club America in a friendly in Seattle last week and are scheduled to play three more teams before heading back to the UK.
A low-key clash with San Jose Earthquakes is scheduled for tomorrow, before ties with Barcelona and PSG.
