Juventus eye 'complete squad' with bids for Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea targets
JUVENTUS will increase their activity in the transfer window to build a "complete squad" before the start of the season, director general Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed.
Director Giuseppe Marotta says Juventus will continue to spend this summer
The Serie A champions are heading into the new campaign with five new signings already made.
But manager Massimiliano Allegri is not stopping there, with bids for a host of player expected over the coming weeks.
And Marotta believes deals will be completed soon so Juve can get off to a fast start on the domestic and European fronts.
“Hopefully the new season will go along the lines of the previous one,” Marotta said.
“In terms of the transfer market, clearly things are in full-swing. We know we have to complete the squad, that’s the first objective in our mind, and we’re working to do that as quickly as possible.”
The change around at the Juventus Stadium this summer is noticeable.
Off the back of losing the Champions League final to Barcelona in June, Allegri has offloaded Carlos Tevez and Angelo Ogbonna, while Chile international Arturo Vidal is set to leave and Andrea Pirlo's contract ran down.
In their place, Mario Mandzukic, Sami Khedira, Paulo Dybala, Simone Zaza and Daniele Rugani have all come in.
But Allegri is after more men and that could seriously hamper the transfer plans of a number of Premier League clubs.

Juve were today linked with a shock swoop for Manchester City ace David Silva after giving up their chase of Chelsea's Oscar.
They are also trailing Manchester United and Liverpool target Mario Gotze, who has previously discussed the attractiveness of leaving Bayern Munich for Turin.
And the fate of Paul Pogba still rests in the hands of the club bosses, who are adamant he won't be sold this summer despite serious interest from Barcelona and both Chelsea and City reportedly keeping an eye out.
