WEST HAM boss Slaven Bilic has responded to reports linking his side with a move for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
Javier Hernandez - Spotlight on
According to the Daily Mail, the new Hammers boss is lining up an £8million bid for the Red Devils outcast as he looks to rebuild his squad.
The Mexican, who spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, with Liverpool and Sevilla also believed to be interested.
Bilic insists he is still trying to improve his squad at Upton Park ahead of the 2015/16 season, but refuses to be drawn on particular players.
We are still trying to improve our squad
In response to the Hernandez rumours, the 46-year-old boss said: "I will not discuss the players who are not here.
"We are trying to be active in the transfer window and the board have been active.
"We are still trying to improve our squad. Don't forget the team did well last year, and we've brought in the players to make it better."
