West Ham pip Everton to £8.5m deal for Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna
WEST HAM have agreed a deal to sign Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna, according to reports.
Angelo Ogbonna has reportedly agreed terms with West Ham
Sky Sports Italia claim Juve have accepted an £8.5million bid for the centre-back, with £700,000 in additional bonuses.
The report adds that the Italy international has already agreed terms on a four-year contract that will be completed following a medical.
Everton were also rumoured to be interested in signing Ogbonna, according to reports in The Sun.
However, the Toffees look to have missed out on the defender, who it was claimed was a replacement for John Stones with his future in doubt.
Ogbonna joined Juventus in July 2013 from local rivals Torino, however he has since slipped down the pecking order at the club.
The 27-year-old was consigned to the bench for much of last season, with Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci the preferred defensive pairing.
